When selecting the appropriate packaging material, a number of factors must be taken into account:
  • the consistency and size of the product,
  • the packaging unit,
  • the technology,
  • the packaging, storage and transport conditions, PLASTIC POUCH
  • the required shelf life, and
  • special requirements arising from the nature of the product (modified atmosphere packaging, vacuum packaging, aroma barrier, light barrier, aesthetic requirements, etc.).
To meet the differing requirements of each application area, we have created different material structures by combining various components. The most typical are:
  • high-gloss films for packaging frozen products (we recommend our product sold under the Frostar® brand name)
  • lidding films for modified atmosphere packaging (we recommend our product sold under the Hungalid® brand name)
  • packaging materials for frozen products that can also be heated together with the packaging in a microwave oven (we recommend our product sold under the Microfrost® brand name)
  • aroma-barrier pouches
  • pouches made from special barrier film
The most commonly used types of raw materials:
  • LDPE - low-density polyethylene
  • BOPP - biaxially oriented polypropylene
  • CPP - cast polypropylene
  • AL - aluminium
  • PET - polyester
  • metPE - metallized polyethylene
  • metPP - metallized polypropylene
  • PA – polyamide
The thickness of the components used, expressed in microns (1 µ = 0.01 mm), is determined by the requirements placed on the packaging and by the product format.

Examples of some "classic" structures:

  • for packaging sweets and rice: 20 BOPP/30 BOPP
  • frozen vegetables: monolayer flat films – depending on the format: 50 PE - 80 PE, or: duplex flat films - 40 PE/40 PE
  • drink powders: 12 PET/20 metPP/60 PE
  • spices: 12 PET/7 AL/60 PE
